How many websites have you been to that had information regarding the ability to make thousands of dollars with real estate or flipping houses for profit? How about all those sites that promise you unlimited amounts of traffic to your website for a simple payment of $29.95? Or maybe the endless list of sites that offer trackback linking and blog support that will increase your own revenues tenfold? Yes, they all promise you something as long as you are willing to hand over your hard earned cash to make them rich. Then, they give you some junk information that you could have dug up online for free.
These are old scams that have been renewed with the popularity of the internet. One of the best ones that people fell for was the newspaper ads that promised the keys to wealth, the secrets to success, and all you had to do was send $2 in a self-addressed stamped envelope and they would send you the information that the rich didn’t want you to know. Lots of people sent in $2 with that envelope and got the information they were seeking. What was the information? Well, it’s simple: put an ad in the paper promising information of how to get rich and ask $2 for it.
That’s right; a single piece of paper that tells you to place an ad in a paper asking people to send you $2. Don’t forget that self-addressed stamped envelope, either. You don’t want that 45 cents cutting in to your profits. Whoever thought that scam up made a lot of money before people started to catch on. Now, they have turned to eBooks and pdf files online that are promising the same thing. The only difference is that they are filling these eBooks and pdf files with filler and junk and never really telling you anything.
This is the thing that people have to watch out for when trying to make money from home. It is possible to make a decent living and, in some cases, you might actually make enough to become very wealthy, but not if you are constantly throwing your money around buying information that you didn’t need to begin with. If you are one of the people that would send $2 to have someone tell you that, then you’re not too smart for not figuring the con out ahead of time, and you will never be wealthy working from home.
Do your research, and anyone that tells you they have the secrets to wealth and affix a price to that secret, isn’t telling you anything you need to know. The secret is that you paid them to find out that you can do the same thing to other people and make money on your own. Scamming people out of money doesn’t make you wealthy or a business owner. It makes you untrustworthy and accountable for all of your actions. Regardless of what religion you believe in, or not, karma has a way of making things right in the end and scammers like that usually don’t like it when karma slaps them back.
